New Sony Walkman Is A Rapper’s Delight
Written by Vince Pettit | Friday, October 5, 2007 |
Dizzee Rascal is set to team up with hip-hop legends Sugar Hill Gang for the launch of Sony’s new digital Walkman.
Taking place at a secret location on October 17, the party will also see Brett Anderson and Hot Chip DJ whilst Kid Harpoon provides live entertainment.
The event will also be celebrating 25 years since the first Walkman was created. Sugar Hill Gang - responsible for old skool classics such as ‘Rapper’s Delight’ - and Mercury Award winner Dizzee Rascal’s will be on stage together representing the changing face of music.
Sonys’ new product is set to rival Apples’ nano range of iPods, with the new Walkmans coming in 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB configurations. What the new Sonys’ lack in storage they make up for in size. “The Walkman Video MP3 player is small enough to slip into any bag or pocket,” said Sony.
