Written by Joanna Cole | Wednesday, October 24, 2007 |

Amiina are returning to Europe for a full tour beginning in October. The Icelandic band have been ‘enchanting’ audiences since the spring and the release of their debut album ‘Kurr’ in June. The Guardian have described their unusual instrumental line-up as a “strange, beautiful, gentle sound that makes the listener fiercely protective of Amiina”.
There will also be a very special announcement concerning guest vocals on their forth coming single, to be announced and released in the wake of the tour.
The tour looks as follows:
OCTOBER
16 Hamburg Westwerk
17 Copenhagen Vega
18 Cologne Gebaude 9
20 Iceland Airwaves
23 London Proms
25 London Bush Hall
26 Brighton Pavillion Theatre
28 Belfast Speigeltent
29 Dublin Cargo (formerly TBMC)
31 Manchester Academy 3

The unusual act have been gaining praise for their tours and album all over the place:

Urb, April 2007
”The overall effect of their blended, often tiny sounds dropped into airy melodies can be mesmerizing.”
Boston Herald, March 31, 2007
