‘I vow to stay off drugs,’ says the Babyshambles frontman. . .
Pete Doherty’s drug order was revoked this morning by magistrate Jane McIvor at the Thames Magistrates Court. Petes’ drug order required him to stay on a supervised drug rehabilitation course for the next six months.
The decision was based on information from the medical experts superivising Doherty through his recent rehab stint.
Outside the court rooms the Babyshambles singer told journos: “I think I am going to have to [give up drugs]“, he said. “I have kind of had enough really. It is just the beginning, you know what I mean, in their [the court's] eyes. My life has changed, but I’m still a little bit wobbly. I am taking it one day at a time.”
Doherty then went on to say how he can’t wait to get back on tour with his band ‘Babyshambles’.
The troubled singer is due back in court on Friday 26th to be sentenced for drug and driving offences, due to Petes’ good progress at rehab, it is belived that he will get a more lenient non-custodial sentance.
