Olsen First To Find Out About Heath’s Death

Mary Kate Olsen was called just minutes after Heath Ledger’s masseuse found his body on Tuesday.
Diana Wolozin used the speed dial on Ledger’s mobile phone to call the young actress.
Olsen was called twice in California by the masseuse at 2.45pm, on Tuesday. Olsen had been romantically linked with Ledger and offered to send security over to the apartment in New York straight away.
An insider said, “Wolozin arrived at the apartment and when Ledger did not come out of his bedroom she called his cell and got no answer. She went into the room and found him lying on the bed. She shook him but he did not respond. So she used his speed dial to call Olsen.”
“Olsen told the masseuse she would call security people in New York for help. The masseuse then called Olsen back to say she would call 911 herself. Emergency services arrived at the apartment at almost the exact same time as Olsen’s security people.” As news broke of the young actor’s death on Tuesday, it was reported that he had died at the Olsen twins New York apartment, however insiders claim the apartment was his own.
Mary Kate’s security guards arrived around the same time as the paramedics, it was too late for them to help and he was pronounced dead at 3:36pm. It is speculated that the time of death was between 1pm and 2:45pm.
Olsen has yet to be questioned concerning initial reports that it was her apartment.
The police have announced that six different types of prescription medication were found at the actor’s home and that the autopsy failed to reveal how the actor died.
Claims of a rolled up $20 bill found near Ledger’s body have been investigated and the police announced that no evidence of drugs were found on it.
After his break up with fiancee Michelle Williams, Heath admitted to ending 2007 wildly, but the sister of his model girlfriend, Gemma Ward claims that Heath had committed to sobriety as his new years resolution.
Sophie Ward allegedly spent Christmas with the star and says, “He wasn’t drinking any alcohol or taking drugs. He smoked cigarettes, but that’s about it. He was drinking Diet Coke when we were together and he said he was very committed to not drinking alcohol.”
Ward has said she is convinced that drugs and suicide are not to blame for Ledgers death. She continues, “He was clean and I don’t believe he took his own life deliberately.”
However she has admitted that the actor did seem very tense the last time they had contact. “He couldn’t really relax… He said he was going to London but was quite upset because he couldn’t see his daughter (Matilda) as much as he’d like to.”
“He was travelling so much and I think he was just frustrated with it all.”
The young actor is to be buried in his home town of Perth, Australia and his body is currently in the Frank E. Campbell chapel after yesterdays autopsy. The chapel have said that they are planning to ship the body to Australia as soon as possible. “Our consulate has been in contact with his family and has offered assistance to help fly Heath’s body back to Australia.”
With reports of depression and insomnia the finger has already been pointed at close friends and especially the stars ex-fiancee.
Ledger’s former fiancee, actress Michelle Williams returned home to Brooklyn yesterday with the couples 2 year old daughter, Matilda. Williams had been on set in Sweden when she was told of his death.
There have been rumours that the couples relationship had been far from happy and the decision to end their 2 year affair in September had been Williams.
Other friends being brought in to the equation are Hollywood siblings Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal,who Ledger had worked with on “Brokeback Mountain” and the up-coming “Dark Knight” film. Ex-love interests Sienna Miller and Naomi Watts have been under the media eye after the news broke, Watts, who found out the tragic news while promoting her new movie at the Sundance Film Festival, cancelled all publicity and was said to be devastated.
Todd Haynes, director of the Bob Dylan film “I’m Not There” issued this statement: “Heath was a true artist, a deeply sensitive man, an explorer, gifted and wise beyond his years. There was no finer person on this earth.”
Jack Nicholson, former Joker himself, was told about the news while dining at the Wolseley in London. Jack declared “That’s terrible, I warned him” but refused to elaborate at the time. Later at the premier of his new film “The Bucket List” Nicholson said, “I warn people about Ambien, I almost drove off a cliff once. I don’t take sleeping pills but somebody said “take this, it’s mild.”"
“I got a call in the middle of the night, kind of an emergency, and I almost drove off a cliff 50 yards from my house, and I live up in the mountains in Aspen. So I warn people about it. But I also did not know Mr. Ledger.”
Nicholson who played the Joker in the 1989 “Batman” picture was asked in November by MTV, “What do you think of another actor, Heath Ledger, playing the Joker?”
Nicholson replied, “Let me be the way I’m not in interviews. I’m furious. I’m furious [he laughs]. They never asked me about a sequel with the Joker. I know how to do that, nobody ever asked me.”
There had been reports of the part draining Ledger, physically and mentally and led him to seek prescription drugs to aid his sleeping.
