Leona Lewis to auction Brit Dress for Charity
The X Factor winner stunned audiences in the one-off Roberto Cavalli creation she wore at this year’s Brits. She is now giving fashion-lovers the chance to bid on a piece of couture history via eBay in aid of Sport Relief.
The dress took almost 50 hours to complete by the talented Cavalli team and over 55 meters of materials were used. Whoever wins the dress is definitely going to get their money’s worth with this fabulous piece, encrusted with thousands of Swarovski crystals.
The designer Roberto Cavalli said; “It’s been a great pleasure, for me to work with Leona Lewis right from the start. She has an incredible voice, beautiful eyes, and a fresh and positive attitude. Her stellar, instant success is the proof that real talent still counts.”
“I’m happy that a dress I have created for her for an important occasion, is now being auctioned for a charity. It’s a sign of her great generosity and I’m proud that the name Roberto Cavalli is linked to it.”
But Leona’s not stopping there - she’s on a one-woman mission to raise a massive amount of money for the charity as
her new single, out Monday March 10th, ‘Footprints In The Sand/ Better in Time’ is the official Sport Relief single of 2008.
