Office to join TOPSHOP in the US

Office will be joining TOPSHOP when it makes its debut in New York later this year, thanks to the shoe store’s chief executive Brian McCluskey.

Office will be a concession in the UK clothes giant’s new ‘New York’ address, in a move that McCluskey hopes will be the stepping stone for international growth for the brand.
Not content to stop there, he has also earmarked some possibilities for flagship stores within the US to open in 2009.

He said, “Retail-wise, the UK is getting kind of full up and international growth is how to take your business to the next level. The Americans love London fashion.”

This comes on the tails of a massive sales year for Office, as their turnover increased by 33% to £97.2m.
