President at Anna Sui retires
Michael Pellegrino, company president of Anna Sui since 1999 has announced his retirement. The announcement is much to the dismay of Sui “Im so sad to see him go…I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful person to work with, and such a great balance to me.” Sui is still yet to name his replacement.
Pellegrino has been at the forefront of fashion for over four decades and has high profile roles in the fashion industry including management roles at Carolina Herrera and Halston International. Before joining Anna Sui, Pellegrino ran a fashion consulting firm where he offered smaller designers his knowledge on financial planning and merchandising in the fashion industry.
Pellegrino is said to retire 30 June 2008 having guided the direction of Anna Sui for the past 9 years.
