Claudia Schiffer join prestigious River Island Gold Award panel
Claudia Schiffer, one of the original supermodels of the early 1990s is to join the River Island Gold award judges panel at this years Graduate Fashion Week.
Schiffer gained her popularity and worldwide recognition by appearing in sexy Guess? advertisements in early 1989. With over 700 magazine covers to her name, Schiffer is the perfect candidate to judge fashion after celebrating 21 years in the industry!
Claudia Schiffer commented:
“I have been privileged to witness the incredible expertise of some of the most inspiring design talents in the world. The passion and energy that surrounds this creative world are addictive and to take part in supporting the birth of new talent is fantastic. I have always believed that the UK has a unique energy, it’s such a melting pot of new ideas, with an influence that is so far reaching, I am never surprised to hear so many English accents in design studios all over the world.”
Claudia is in good company as previous judges include, Creative Director of Yves Saint Laurent, Christopher Bailey, Creative Director at Burberry, Sophia Kokosalaki and British Vogue’s Alexandra Shulman and Victoria Beckham.
