Selfridges goes down a Storm
Renowned for their surreal, creative and artistic window displays, Selfridges’ most recent installation was a bit more pertinent to this week’s recent stormy and destructive weather. The brief- a storm concept!
With a backdrop reminiscent of a ghostly shipwreck, the Oxford Street store’s mannequins sported tousled hair and were dressed in fluid, weathered garments reflecting some of this year’s Spring / Summer trends.
The theme, launched earlier this week, to some extent inadvertently resembled the disastrous weather that had hit our shores, although admittedly Selfridges’ take on the weather was much more alluring and appealing than the bedraggled look one would expect.
