Natasha Henstridge To Star In Anytown

Natasha Henstridge, former model and star of nineties sci-fi horror duo Species and Species II is set to take on a major role in Dave Rodriguez’s new indie flick ‘Anytown‘.

Rodriguez’s hard hitting new work centres around the aftermath of a racist hate-crime perpetrated against an Indian-American boy by fellow students who also video the act. Henstridge will be playing an ABC news-anchor covering the story.

The film looks to be a comment on the media’s role in fuelling the fire of these crimes in a post September 11th world. Rodriguez, whose previous efforts include the much praised independent movie ‘Push’, will be directing and co-writing the movie. Matt O’ Leary from the movie ‘Brick’ will be starring, as well as ‘Prison Break’ star Marshall Allman.
