Beauty and Dior
Don’t hate Carla Bruni because she’s beautiful. The new French Presidents wife has certainly shown that she has both the looks and the style savvy on their recent trip to the UK. After having a career as a model which spanned most of the 90’s, and a surprisingly successful musical debut as a folk singer, she’s now turned her attention to becoming the demure First Lady of France. And I don’t mean wearing her grandmother’s togs.
Carla has been photographer wearing some of the finest couture around. From the recent photographs splashed across the tabloids of her slim ankles, stunning Dior black leather heels paired with Dior ‘it’ bag, the Babe, at the foot of her chair, to the fabulous outfits she wore for the various Presidential occasions.
To meet the Queen she wore a sophisticated high-waisted grey Dior coat, exuding Parisian chic, topped off with a -style little grey hat (a classy touch). To lunch at Windsor Castle she wore a flattering grey wool ribbed dress, and for the evening a midnight blue bias cut evening dress. Surprisingly at all occasion she wore flat black shoes. A new trend in the making, or perhaps a guise to disguise her height? You decide.
