Singer Scott Weiland has left Velvet Revolver as the band claim he is not 100% committed to the music or his fans. The feud started when the singer announced at a gig on the 20th of March that the band would split, causing an online battle of words between Weiland and drummer Matt Sorum.

The band said in a statement to Billboard that “This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn’t 100% committed to either. Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behaviour and personal problems have forced us to move on.”

The band grew impatient with the singer as his appointments in rehab clashed with tour dates causing cancellations to appear at many venues.

The band will be playing their last gig with Weiland in Amsterdam before the frontman is expected to start a Stone Temple Pilots reunion tour.
