Edgar Wright Announces The Worlds End

Written by Ruari Burgham | Sunday, April 6, 2008 |

Edgar Wright, the comedy genius director behind recent Brit-flick classics ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’, has yet more to celebrate. Not only is he currently working on, not one, but two new movies (‘Scott Pilgrim’ and ‘Ant-Man’), but the production company ‘Working Title’ have contracted him for yet another two!

First up we have ‘Baby Driver’, which Wright describes as “a wild spin on the action and crime genres which will be set in the US”.

However, the most exciting news (and something that’s sure to set more than a few Brit-comedy aficionados hearts a-flutter) is the promise of a third instalment in the ‘Three Colours Cornetto’ trilogy, beginning with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, ‘The World’s End’. The flick will be written by Wright and Simon Pegg. Sadly there are no details whatsoever on this project, but we’ll be sure to keep you informed.
