There are reports circulating that Jay-Z is ready to pull out of his Glastonbury headline slot after he was blamed for a fall in ticket registration numbers this year. The rapper, who married fiancée Beyoncé Knowles earlier this week, may apparently pull his appearance at Glastonbury and headline the O2 Wireless Festival in London instead.

The Sun newspaper was reportedly told by a ‘source’: “He [Jay - Z] hasn’t liked all this talk of how Glastonbury is more urban and hip this year because of his appearance.” The rapper is also said to be upset that he is being accused of causing disinterest in this year’s festival. Currently (April 7th) tickets for the festival have not sold out, despite them going on sale yesterday (April 6th), and selling out within hours in previous years.

However, Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has remained upbeat about the situation. “I spoke to his people this weekend. Everything is fine. I’m excited.”

Glastonbury is set to take place from June 27th – 29th this year, with the other headliners being Kings Of Leon and The Verve.
