Last Shadow Puppets Debut With Bowie Cover
Written by Vince Pettit | Monday, April 7, 2008 |
Domino Records have revealed that for the next three Mondays in a row, starting today (April 7th), they will be issuing a Last Shadow Puppets release titled “Age Of The Understatement“.
Confused? This is what’s going to be happening. On April 21st, the Last Shadow Puppets, formed by Arctic Monkeys‘ Alex Turner and The Rascals‘ Miles Kane, will be releasing their debut album, titled “Age Of The Understatement”. Today (April 7th), the digital version of the band’s debut single, also titled “Age Of The Understatement”, is being released for download. And next Monday (April 14th), the single will be available in three physical formats - two 7″s and a CD.
The B - Sides for the single will be one of the band’s own songs, “Two Hearts in Two Weeks” (available on CD and 7″ one), a cover of the David Bowie rarity “In the Heat of the Morning” (available on 7″ two) and a cover of Billy Fury’s “Wondrous Place” (available on CD).
Head over to www.ageoftheunderstatement.com for further details about the band’s upcoming releases.
