Serj Tankian To Release Foo Footage

System of a Down Frontman Serj Tankian will be compiling tour footage of the Foo Fighters from a number of dates including the South by South-West Festival (SXSW) according to blabbermouth.

Singer Scott Weiland has left Velvet Revolver as the band claim he is not 100% committed to the music or his fans. Model Horror would be perfect for anyone looking into the ‘nu-rave’ scene for the first time. You won’t see this lot dressed in fluorescent overalls, though it wouldn’t be surprised if they did!
We Are Here has the characteristics of a power-pop band with guitars blazing and harmonising backing vocals but since it has a synthesizer incorporated with moments of extremely loud singing(maybe even shouting) it may only appeal to younger audience. | Full Article »

Brothers Snow and Garnet Keim formed The Blakes when they met up with drummer Bob Husak in Seattle. According to a press release for new single Two Times, they rented a ‘…cheap hotel room till they’d written a bunch of songs’ and after a few gigs were quickly signed to the US record label Light in the Attic.
The new single Two Times sounds a lot similar to that of Sunshine Underground if the sunshine was taken away! Crashing symbols and power chords are the recipe to make this bittersweet tune. It’s got some sweet sounding instruments but Blakes’ lyrics show a darker side. | Full Article »

The latest offering from Telford-based Lady Fortune, 12 O’Clock, Nearly 1 O’Clock, Hurry Up seems to be about the usual subject…problems with love. The twang from their guitars doesn’t make this a typical love song however. A nice rolling thrash from the drummer on occasion makes a small contrast from these somewhat emotional lyrics and transforms the song into an upbeat ballad. | Full Article »
